Indoor finalists Schneverdingen and Сalw greet from top of table

Brettorf (DFBL/ssp). The two DM indoor finalists TV Jahn Schneverdingen and TSV Calw have started the 2022 field season without losing a set. Both teams took the lead in the standings in the north and south of the 1st Women's Fistball Bundesliga. Four other teams also started the new season with two wins each.

1st Bundesliga North

It was a sovereign start that the fistballers of TV Jahn Schneverdingen made on their own court. After the transfer of the match day from Düdenbüttel to the TV Jahn facility at short notice, the hosts were able to cope best with the court conditions and made a commanding start to the season - first with victory against SV Düdenbüttel (11:6, 11:5, 11:9), then against SV Moslesfehn (11:8, 11:5, 11:1). SVM won the clash with Düdenbüttel (11:7, 11:3, 11:5) with similar clarity.

VfL Kellinghusen also won two matches, but conceded a total of two sets. For the entire duration of the two matches against TK Hannover (11:5, 11:5, 9:11, 11:8) and host Wardenburger TV (11:8, 11:6, 9:11, 11:9), the women from Störstadt set the tone. There was also a victory for TK Hannover, who won 3:0 (12:10, 11:9, 12:10) against WTV, but also benefited from mistakes made by the Wardenburg girls, who put a lot of pressure on them in both games, especially from their serve.

Ahlhorner SV returned from the first match day in Wuppertal with four points in their luggage. Against TV Brettorf, the Blue-Whites first fell behind in the set, but then played out their calmness, while TVB made too many own mistakes (6:11, 11:9, 11:7, 11:8). It was much closer against Ohligser TV. In five thrilling sets, Ahlhorn took a 2:0 lead (11:8, 15:13), before the hosts fought back to take the deciding set (11:9, 11:9). Here, ASV then narrowly prevailed (11:9). For OTV, there had already been a victory against Brettorf - also because they were wide awake in the decisive phases of the sets (11:9, 12:10, 9:11, 11:7).

1st Bundesliga South

TSV Calw lived up to their role as favorites on their own court. After a 3:0 (11:6, 11:5, 11:6) opening victory against TSV Staffelstein, who had saved themselves in the relegation last year, the Calw Lionesses also remained against TSV Gärtringen without losing a set (11:1, 11:4, 11:2). Gärtringen was also a bit out of steam in the duel with the first league leader of the season - shortly before, the Gärtringen girls had to admit defeat in a five-set duel against Staffelstein after a 2:1 lead (12:10, 10:12, 12:10, 7:11, 2:11).

TSV Dennach is on second place in the table for the time being. The Pink Ladies first won 3:1 (11:9, 11:7, 7:11, 11:9) against last year's DM participant, TV Segnitz, before they went on to win 3:0 against SV Tannheim (11:9, 11:6, 11:1) after a tight first set. TV Segnitz was also successful against Tannheim (11:7, 11:3, 11:7).

TSV Pfungstadt held its ground over five sets against TV Unterhaugstett at the start of the season. After the South Hessians had taken a 2:0 lead (11:7, 13:11), TVU managed to equalize in the meantime (11:6, 11:6). In the deciding set, however, the Pfungstädter girls prevailed (11:9), who immediately followed up against TSV Ötisheim (11:4, 11:4, 11:7). At the end of the day, Ötisheim also lost 0:3 against Unterhaugstett (8:11, 8:11, 7:11).
