El Segundo’s Automobile Driving Museum will host a slot car racing event later this month that is free to the public.
Racing packages for the Aug. 25 Miniature Motorways Slot Car Racing event start at $5, and prizes will be awarded to the top racers.
The first race is at 11 a.m. and the last at 3 p.m.
The competition will be hosted by Carlos Rafael of In the Groove Racer (ITG Racer,*itgracer.com), a longtime slot car racer and event promoter.
The museum is at 610 Lairport St., El Segundo (California)
