Slot Car Corner, owned by Steve Sawtelle and Dickie Pearson, hosts race nights every other Saturday on Village Street in downtown Penacook. Sawtelle said there’s a $5 entry fee for the night, but it’s not strictly enforced and the money usually ends up buying pizzas for the participants. “We try to keep it fun,” he said, adding that the racers compete for bragging rights. The slot cars that typically race are 1∕32-scale model slot cars.
